Happy Old School Friday, everyone! This week’s theme is My Theme Song. Ok, this is the truth. Often, when I wake up in the morning (er, afternoon) and I’m faced with the day’s travails, I’ll start to feel down, like I’m just not up to the tasks at hand. I’m sure this is something most folks who read here can relate to. Here’s what I use to get myself out of that mindset: “Can I Kick It?,” by A Tribe Called Quest.
That’s all, folks. Happy OSF Y’all! Thanks for playing, and as always, much love to all the other OSF participants.

I could have used this theme song yesterday. Lately I’ve been asking myself if I can take these folks at work much longer. I need this song to cue up as soon as I turn into the garage and while I’m going up the elevator. LOL
I never truly appreciated these guys when they were popular. Award Tour is their only song that I actually recognized from them when it came on the radio but I like this one. Yep, the funky beats of the college days.
I recognize two or three of the members in the video who broke off to found their own group. Didn’t know they got their start with the Tribe. I can’t think of their name but I want to call them the Afro Posse or maybe that was the name of one of their songs.
Anyway, great selection.
I love this choice…anything by Tribe is always fabulous…
