So, I’ve missed the last few OSFes, but when I found out that this week’s theme is Soul Train, there was no way I was gonna let all that silly life stuff get in way of partaking. I dare you to find a black person in the United States and born in the seventies that wasn’t glued to Soul Train every week. They do not exist.
So here we go.
Al Green, “Sha-La-La.” Maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places, but my man Al Green doesn’t seem to get the props he deserves these days.
The Soul Train Line was a milestone in United States culture.
Anyone remember this jam from the Pointer Sisters? I’m beside myself!
Happy OSF Y’all! Thanks for playing, and as always, much love to all the other OSF participants.

Glad you’re back with the OSF vibe! Great picks. I agree with you about Al Green. He has long been one of my favorites.
Happy OSF!
Yes, we can can! The Pointer Sisters were some bad sistas.
Al Green is the man.
Happy OSF.
I remember that jam from the Pointer Sisters. That beat was remade too. The Soul Train line took on a life of it’s own. I think people have who have probably never seen Soul Train in their lives have seen or been in a Soul Train line.
I definitely remember that Pointer Sister jam! I like Al Green and watched about 3 of his videos (including this one) when looking for my osf selections. He is such a show man and he makes some of the funniest faces!! The soul train line is an entity all of it’s own!
Great picks!
Great post…Soul train was the business!
