My apologies for missing last week’s Old School Friday. It’s been a rough week for me and blogging has been light. I’m not one to miss two weeks in a row, though, so here we go with a new OSF selection! This weeks theme is “Birth Year Songs.” Now see, folks want me to date myself! This is what was poppin’ back in 1970, the year I was born:
There was no messing with the Jackson Five or Bill Cosby back in the day:
This is another classic from 1970, Freda Payne’s “Band of Gold”:
And for all the metal heads out there, Black Sabbath was kicking this back in the day:
As always, much love to all the other OSF participants.

Great choices! The Jacksons, Freda, and Black Sabbath…you covered all the bases!
Marvalus ´s last blog post..Old School Friday: It’s My Birthday…Year!
Excellent picks! You can’t go wrong with the Jacksons (At least the early Jacksons!!)
You certainly did cover all the bases. 70 was a very good year, that’s when we showed up.
sHaE-sHaE ´s last blog post..Old School Friday: Born Into Music
I like this theme, I get to fond out how old everyone is. It’s so fun.
I have autograph picture of Freda Pyane, well, it was my mom’s before she passed, but she loved her some Freda Payne, so I love your choice.
My birth year had a lot of Rock hits, including Walk This Way by Aerosmith. Black Sabbath is a nice touch, and something out of the box.
Wzup with Bill Cosby’s Hairdo? You can’t go wrong with “J5″.
@MrsGrapevine: LOL! I know! Cosby’s hair is off the hook!
@sHaE-sHaE: That’s right. 1970 baby! The year it all got good!
