Old School Friday: One Hit Wonders

It’s Friday and time to do it up Old School style. This week’s theme is One Hit Wonders.

This one was tough. There are so many good one hit wonders out there. You can rest assured, though; as much as it might amuse my sometimes evil little heart to drop some Vanilla Ice, Right Said Fred, and Los Del Rio on you, there is still good in me. First off, how ’bout a lil’ Lipps, Inc.!

I can’t help but to think of this song whenever I think of one hit wonders. “Pass the Dutchie,” ha!

I don’t know what made me think of this song. I haven’t thought about it in forever. I can’t think of any recent music-geek fests where it’s come up, but nonetheless, here it is. “Pop Music” (Y’know, all this old schoolness makes me really miss the early days of music video, before everything got all super fancy and technical; weirdness was the order of the day)
