Old School Friday: Road Trip Songs.
It’s Friday and time for some old school! This weeks theme is Road Trip Songs. Back when the GF still lived in Denver and I was here in Ithaca, I was road tripping all the time, and yet, I had a hard time thinking of that quintessential road trip song for me. Fortunately for me, I make special road trip mixes. I dug one up and this was the first song on it.
While looking up this song on YouTube, I also found this great vid of an old Sly and the Family Stone rehearsal session. Having played in many bands myself, I don’t remember any rehearsal sessions being this bad ass.

And like you, I’m a musician. Have been for over 20 years. And I have never been anywhere near a rehearsal that sounded that tight. Hell, I’ve PAID for live gigs that weren’t that tight!
