Once again, all I can say is that I look forward to the day when we can meet for a drink, Kevin. ;-)

I get where you're coming from, Cooper and Nez. In a perfect world, I'd be right there with you. I think there's a political reality that we have to face, though. This primary deeply fractured the Democratic party. If things had played out differently, and Clinton had managed to become the presumptive nominee, you'd be seeing every other Obama supporter saying that they were going to either sit out or vote for McCain. No matter who won, the other side was going to react that way. Will people follow through on these threats. Don't know, but this has been a very emotional contest for a lot of people and a lot of people are feeling deeply scared.

Just my thoughts.

i feel your honesty bro. they are both ruthless. maybe he's smoother, i don't know. but i just can't get behind a VP ticket for hillary. she's offended me far more than he has. i'd like to wave goodbye to the clinton machine for now. until the day chelsea runs, of course. :)

Of course he's a politician, he couldn't have won in the system we have unless he was. We aren't going to elect anyone who is not a politician when the system we have for electing these people is based on politics.

I believe you sometimes have to throw people under the bus for the greater good. Maybe not you, maybe not me, but people who have a greatness about them, an opportunity to be what Obama has the opportunity to be have to do this. I bet there is a long list of people very necessarily thrown under buses throughout history.

I think he weighed his options carefully, and the greater good( to the country and the world) was becoming the first African American President of the United States of America, because he will be that.

I don't like Clinton, or legacy politicians, but yes the media - those suck ups who were talking her up tonight - treated her unfairly at times, because she was a women. Didn't mean she should have been the nominee.

I'd don't want her but it's not my choice.

His speech made it sound not unlikely.
