Dude, that is serious bullshit. I mean really? It is 2007, right? I don’t even try to pretend that folks are as enlightened as they make themselves out to be, but I still find myself shocked every time I see the “man-hating feminazis” meme still in play. I’ve never met a feminist that hates men. Every feminist I’ve met hates misogynists. As Scott coincidentally points out in another post I’ve linked to above, there’s some serious fallacy of the undistributed middle going on in these peoples thinking.

Short explanation: the organizers refuse to establish a Best Feminist Blog category because a group of vicious anti-feminists made a stink. So, they lumped the feminists into the LGBT category and created an “activist” category.

Anything but use the word “feminist.” Because, and I quote my purported progressive “ally”, “Best Feminist Blog” cannot be done, as it is unacceptable to some. They are teaching us a lesson for being bullies, you see.

So again, my thanks for the love, but right now, I’m not feeling it. I’m fucking pissed. I should know better than to expect anything different from white liberal men blinded by privilege (drowning in privilege–we “held a gun to their heads” with our “silly” boycott, you see.)
