Right on the heals of the Day of Red comes a Day of Blogging for Justice spearheaded by African American Political Pundit and the Afrospear

TODAY - Thursday, November 1, 2007 Afrospear members and Afrospear supporters are urged to blog to raise public awareness of the two rape cases involving black women. One woman, Megan Williams, was tortured, beaten, forced to eat rat, dog and human feces, and raped by six white men and women in West Virgina. The Other, a black woman from Dunbar Village, was gang raped and forced to have sex with her own son. By Black Teenagers (now charged as adults).

We are asking all bloggers who plan to blog on Thursday November 1, 2007 to send an email to AfricanAmericanPoliticalPundit at gmail dot com confirming your participation so we can track the number of blogs participating.

I ugre you to check out my previous post and follow the links, go to the Document the Silence Website and read and offer your support, check back with AAPP for updates on others blogging today. ,

There is also a Megan Williams petition you can sign.

Information about the case and the planned march on 3 November is here.

And you can learn more about and how to help the Dunbar Village victim at What About Our Daughters.

“Megan Williams, was tortured, beaten, forced to eat rat, dog and human feces, and raped by six white men and women in West Virgina.”

Don’t be surprised if it turns out that much of this was consensual including the sex. The NAACP is already backing away from this case; perhaps for once they did some actual research into the backstory. I know contingency planning is not a parcel to anti-racism activism, but you all may want to consider alternatives to the story besides the lockstep version floating about now.

It’s not too late to save the Jena case, but the likelihood grows less with each passing day. You have until Nov 21 to decide how to deal with the outraged feminists once they learn the juvenile record details of Mychal Bell’s beating of his girlfriend.

You already lost support from all but the most extreme of white progressives with that obviously bullshit story from Alan Bean. Take the next three weeks to dig for the facts. Despite Craig Franklin’s mythbusting, the actual story is still more than compelling enough even with its warts.

This is the age of the internet. As we saw in the Duke rape case, propaganda and lies are easily exposed. Spin is easily unspun. Trying to sell falsehoods results in losing credibility.

Consensual? You must be joking, right? Maybe coerced into acquiescence, but yes, I will be surprised if it turns out that she consented to being tortured of her own free will.

What the hell are you talking about? “Deal with the outraged feminists?” Dude, get outta here with that sexist bullshit. Feminists aren’t a group to “deal” with, like some child throwing a tantrum. I know of no one that would excuse Mychal Bell for beating his girlfriend. Not saying they aren’t out there, but I tend to stay as far away as possible from people like that, except when I’m exposing their bullshit.

Here’s a thought: maybe view feminists as people to talk to, and better yet, listen to.

But that’s not what you’re interested in, is it? No, you’d rather spend your time trying to manufacture strife where there is none.

    Nice try. Doesn’t work here.
