I'm not a CNN fanboy or anything, but in their defense, I first heard about the Jena 6 story on CNN back in June (my lazy ass has been jobless all summer and yeah, I've seen a lot more tv than usual) and I even found the transcript of the segment I saw dated June 26th. Yes, it was following news of Paris getting out of jail, but the story WAS there! With follow-ups throughout the weeks to follow. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0706/26/cnr.01.html Friends of Justice has the earliest doc I can find from grassroots type blogs, and it seems to have been created on June 5th 2007, if I can trust the 'properties' values of the doc from their site, and the first comment to a post is dated July 28th. From what I can tell, CNN's coverage has been at the least, /acceptable/, considering that most PoC blogs have posts first dated in July, August, and some jumped on the issue this month, only to turn around and accuse CNN of dropping the ball and not keeping up to date, or "finally" catching on to the story because THEY just saw it on CNN yesterday. I ate my McChomsky BigMedia Happy Meals back in the day, and I know if FOX isn't Evil then I'm an ass, but I just wanted to point out something I saw. (FOX is Evil for canceling Firefly, btw. I don't watch their news.) I have an issue, and it’s probably not even worth bringing up but I’m going to anyway.
