50 Cent says he’ll quit putting out records if Kanye West’s album (both are coming out on 11 September) outsells his.
“Let’s raise the stakes,†the 31-year-old rapper told hip-hop Web site SOHH.com in an interview posted Friday. “If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I’ll no longer write music. I’ll write music and work with my other artists, but I won’t put out anymore solo albums.â€
It’s bad enough that 50 Cent writes some of the worst music imaginable, but the arrogance just kills me. Oh how it burns!
But that seals it. I’ll be buying Kanye West’s album first thing that Tuesday morning. Hell, I’d buy the Kevin Federline album if it meant 50 Cent would stop putting out that thrash.
I saw this last week, and I just wonder if he’ll stick to it?
I read this last week too and wanted to do something to help. Like publicize this on all of our blogs and tell the media that we plan to buy Kanye and stomp out gangsta rap. This is an excellent opportunity. I want to buy the new Kanye too but I want a radio edit. This would really be a stand against gangsta crap!

Unfurtunately they’re talking about moving Kanye’s album release back for some reason though his pre-orders are way ahead of 50s.
I don’t think 5 dimes will actually go away like promised if he loses, but it’ll still be fun to see his dumb ass eat crow.
Makes you wonder if West’s marketing campaign came up with this one.
